Wanted: Native English Speaker For Consumer Electronics Descriptions

Are you a native English speaker, stable in China, and interested in electronics and gadgets?

-          you can write accurate and engaging product descriptions;

-          you are looking for stable, full time work based in an office in Nanshan, Shenzhen;

Job Title: Catalog Expert

Your job will be to work full time in our office in Nanshan, Shenzhen, managing product listings in our website catalog of consumer electronics.

-Salary: 9,000-11,000 RMB/month depending on experience.

-c.7 paid days off per year in addition to Chinese holidays.

-Visa: we will assist in a working visa application for you but since that is a long process, flexibility is required.

Normal tasks:

-          Writing product descriptions from scratch based on existing standards;

-          Working with photographers to get product photos;

-          Helping sourcing staff assess new product samples for quality and marketability;

-          Responding to technical questions from overseas customers;

-          Correcting and updating past descriptions;

-          Advising Quality Control staff on product checking procedures;

-          Occasionally writing /correcting product manuals.

The working hours are 9am-6pm Monday-Friday and 10am-6pm on Saturday (6 days a week apart from the 4th weekend of the month, which is free).

Advantage if you have elevant experience: international trade, electronics, technical/engineer work, marketing/copywriting, product manual work.

Spoken Mandarin would be an advantage but is not required.

You also need to be internet-savvy and someone who has no problem working online most of the day.

You'll be working in a friendly, modern office with a mix of foreign, Chinese, and virtual colleagues.
